**When is the Contest (the "Contest Period")?**

Contest Start Date is September 3rd, 2026 10:00 AM EDT.

Contest End Date is September 17th, 2026 11:59 PM EDT.

**Who can participate?**

The contest is open to residents of the United States and Canada who are age 14 and over. No purchase necessary to participate in the Contest. Void where prohibited.

**How can I participate?**

Between September 3rd, 2026 and September 17th, 2026, login to the Hook app, create a Hook using the remix tools on the App with any song from the Artist First Playlist (the "Playlist") and share it per the instructions below.

1. Create a Hook using any song from the Artist First Playlist.

2. Post your Hook with the hashtags #artistfirst and #hookmusic in the caption.

**How are the winners selected?**

Winners will be selected by the Hook editorial team (Editor's Picks).

**What are the prizes?**

Editor's Picks: $1,000.00 each, awarded to 10 winners selected by the Hook editorial team ($10,000.00 total).

**INTRODUCTION**

These are the official rules (the "Rules") for "The Artist First Challenge" (the "Contest"), a contest where users are challenged to express and share their creativity by using the remix tools on the Hook app (the "App") with songs from the Artist First Playlist.

This Contest is sponsored and administered by Hook Media, Inc ("Hook Media" or "We"). Hook Media is not conducting this Contest in any kind of partnership with any other platform or company. By participating in this Contest, you agree to the full and unconditional acceptance of these Rules as well as the Hook Media Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines found on the Hook Media website (collectively the "Terms and Conditions"). To the extent that there is a conflict between the Rules and the Terms and Conditions, you understand that these Rules will govern. Any violation of these Rules or the Terms and Conditions, may result in a User's disqualification from this Contest and Hook account suspension.

**WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST?**

Anyone over the age 14; and

A resident of the United States or Canada.

No purchase is necessary to participate in this Contest.

**HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST?**

If you don't have the App, download the Hook App onto your Phone (currently available only to iOS users).

A first-time User will be taken to Hook's log in page to create an account using their email address. The first-time User of the App will be asked to create a Hook username.

Once your onboarding is completed, you are ready to start using the App and can navigate to the Contest through the "Explore" page, the "Contest" index page and then the "Search" and "Discover" pages.

Create a Hook using any song from the Artist First Playlist by applying the remix filters and sound effect filters available on the App.

Post this Hook on your Hook profile using the hashtags #artistfirst and #hookmusic in the description (the "Hashtags").

**ENTRY REQUIREMENTS**

Once a Hook is created using a song from the Artist First Playlist and it is posted on a user's Hook profile with the Hashtags, it is considered an "Entry" by the User (a "Participant").

You may enter as many entries as you want.

To be considered valid (an "Eligible Entry"), an Entry must meet all three (3) of the following requirements:

1. The Entry must be submitted on time during the contest period. An Entry is considered "submitted" for purposes of this Contest when it is created and posted on a User's Hook profile with the accompanying Hashtags.

2. The Hook created for this Contest may only use songs from the Artist First Playlist and may only be remixed using the remix filters and features on the App.

3. The Hook must be posted on the App using the Hashtags in the description.

Entries generated by any other means other than those specified above, including but not limited to a script, macro or other automated means are void.

No purchase or payment is necessary to participate or win, and a purchase or payment does not increase your chances of winning.

All Entries must abide by these Rules, the Terms & Conditions, as well as the terms of use of any applicable third-party platforms. Any Entry deemed by Hook Media to be in violation of the above, or that is otherwise inappropriate, will be disqualified by Hook Media.

**SELECTING THE WINNERS**

Only Eligible Entries from Participants will be considered for this Contest.

There will be ten (10) main prize winners for this Contest (the "Winners"), each selected as an Editor's Pick.

Editor's Picks. The editors at Hook Media will select ten (10) Eligible Entries as Hook Media's favorites.

The Winners will be informed that they have won via in-app and push notifications, along with direct email. If a Winner does not respond within seven (7) days of notification, the Prize will be forfeited and an alternative winner will be selected at Hook Media's sole discretion.

**THE PRIZES**

Each Editor's Pick Winner will receive: $1,000.00.

**THE PRIZE CONDITIONS**

All participants in the Contest acknowledge that even if they are declared "Winners", they will only be entitled to the Prizes specified above and will not be entitled to any monetary payments beyond the stated Prize amount.

Prizes cannot be transferred, assigned, substituted or replaced, nor can they be redeemed for cash or money equivalents of any kind or form.

Hook Media reserves the right to disqualify any participant and/or Entry at our sole and absolute discretion.

If any potential Winner cannot be contacted and confirmed as a Winner, or in the event that any Prize is not successfully claimed within seven (7) days of the notification being sent to the Winner, the Prize may be forfeited, and an alternative potential winner may be selected at our sole discretion. We are not responsible for any unsuccessful reward claims or any failed attempts to contact a potential Winner.

**ADDITIONAL CONTEST RULES**

This Contest is skill-based and does not involve any form of luck, chance or auctions. Other than as expressly set out in these rules, we do not make any promises or commitments about the Contest, such as the specific function of the Contest, or its reliability, availability, or ability to meet your needs.

You agree and acknowledge that Hook Media's decisions will be final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest, including interpretation of these Rules, the selection of Winners, and awarding of the Prizes.

In addition, you acknowledge and agree that we have the sole discretion to disqualify any Participant who is sufficiently acquainted with any person or entity connected with the development, administration, judging or other exploitation of this Contest such that their participation in the Contest could potentially create the appearance of unfairness or impropriety.

Hook Media reserves the right to correct any unintended error and/or to disqualify any participant or Entry which does not comply with the Rules and/or any applicable laws at any stage of the Contest including after determination and announcement of Winners.

We reserve the right to suspend, postpone or cease the Contest at any time for legitimate reasons without prior notification and award the Winners based on Eligible Entries received prior to such cancellation, modification, or suspension.

We assume no responsibility or liability in the event that a Contest cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including those reasons beyond our control.

We cannot guarantee that the promotion of any Entries in connection with any Prizes will result in increased views or use of the Entry, or in any other results whatsoever.

**MISCELLANEOUS**

We will only process your personal data including (Hook ID, nickname, video related information) for purposes related to the execution and administration of the Contest, including the processing of Participants' personal data, in accordance with our and these Terms and Hook Media's Privacy Policy.

You may exercise your data protection rights by contacting our Privacy Team by email.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for any event of "force majeure" (including, without limitation, natural disasters, activities of government agencies, cyberattacks, pandemics, and system failures which may in any way interfere with or impede the Contest or result in loss, damage or disappointment suffered by you as a result of your participation in (or inability to join) the Contest.

Insofar as permitted by law, we will not assume any responsibility or liability for any inaccurate or failed electronic data transmission, technical faults, failed entries nor any inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet, Hook Media or any third-party platform.

The Contest and the Prizes are provided for personal, non-commercial use only and we shall not be liable for any commercial loss.

We will not be responsible for lost, late, damaged, defaced, incomplete, stolen, illegible, indiscernible, mutilated, illegally obtained, or misdirected Entries, for any computer, online, software, hardware or technical malfunctions, or for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Contest or announcement of the Prizes and/or all Contest-related materials.

By entering this Contest, Participant agrees that it forever discharges, releases, holds harmless, and will indemnify and defend, Hook Media and each of its related companies, parent companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and each of their directors, officers, employees, and agents (collectively, "Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, losses, damages, causes of action, suits, and demands of any kind (including, without limitation, any violation of personal right such as right of publicity or privacy, and claims of intellectual property infringement) ("Claims") arising from or in connection with the Contest however caused. Additionally, Participant agrees to indemnify Released Parties from and against any Claims.

If any of these clauses are found to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then that clause shall be deleted from these Terms and the remaining clauses shall remain full in force and effect.

Participants shall not assign, sell, transfer, delegate or otherwise dispose of, whether voluntarily or involuntarily, by operation of law or otherwise, these Terms or any or its rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. Hook Media may assign these Rules in their entirety without your consent, to Hook Media's affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of Hook Media's assets.

This Contest is subject to applicable federal, state, territorial provincial and local laws and regulations. These Rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over Hook Media. Your continued participation in the Contest after such changes to these Rules have become effective will be deemed your acceptance of the modified Rules.
