First-of-its-kind lenses allow users to remix featured songs within Snapchat
NEW YORK - June 24, 2025 – Hook, the innovative music platform that enables anyone to easily create authorized remixes from thousands of artists, has launched two new lenses that enable Snapchat users to create Hook music remixes within Snapchat. This marks the first time that music remixing is possible with a Snapchat lens, adding a new dimension to creative self-expression and music customization on the popular app. And, it marks the first time that Hook’s remix technology is available outside of its own platform.
Try the Hook Bitmoji Remix Lens here:
Hook brings an entirely new experience to Snapchat Lenses, giving users the power to creatively reinterpret music with a simple swipe. The Hook Remix Lens introduces swipeable music effects that allow users to reimagine a featured song in various genres, including Rock, Country, Drill, Latin, House, Jungle, Electronic, Rap, Afrobeats, and more, changing both the sound and visuals on Snapchat in real-time. The Hook Bitmoji Remix Lens is the first Snapchat Lens to fuse Hook’s audio remix filters with Bitmoji’s iconic avatars. This playful experience allows users to remix a featured song while their Bitmoji dances to match the beat and genre of each filter. Each remix filter also triggers a visual shift in the Lens, updating colors, overlays, and effects to align with the chosen genre. The resulting rights-cleared remixes created with these lenses can be recorded on Snapchat and shared on Snap Stories, Spotlights or directly to friends.
The Hook Remix Lens is live now with “Trippin on a Yacht" by Cash Cobain ft. Bay Swag and Rob49 and the Hook Bitmoji Lens features “Perdido” by Poo Bear ft. J Balvin. Hook will spotlight new releases on its Snapchat Lenses on a regular basis, providing artists and labels with an additional opportunity to engage fans and support music expression on social media.
“The Snapchat community is clever, creative, and constantly connected like no other social platform,” said Gaurav Sharma, founder & CEO of Hook. “While music has been a huge part of Snapchat since the start, we are thrilled that our new remix lenses will expand the possibilities for music expression on the platform. We designed Hook to be the go-to tool for anyone to quickly put their own spin on their favorite songs on our own app or wherever they want to express themselves.”
The Hook Snapchat Lenses meet a cultural moment where fans want to participate in music, not just listen to it. From different genre versions to sped-up edits, remix culture is shaping how a new generation interacts with sound. Hook gives music fans a creative role in the music ecosystem while creating new opportunities for artists to connect, grow, and monetize.
Hook’s remixing technology is powered by ethically trained AI, allowing users to speed up, slow down, and genre-shift music with just a few taps. Every remix is rights-cleared and trackable, ensuring artists and rights holders benefit from fan-driven creativity.
Since its launch, Hook has signed deals with dozens of music partners which includes music from more than 1,200 artists such as BLOND:ISH, KSHMR, Hardwell, Swae Lee, Soulja Boy, Sadie Jean, Jaden Smith, Killer Mike and Cash Cobain, and songs featuring artists like Justin Bieber, Charli XCX, Teddy Swims,Ty Dolla $ign, Migos, Big Sean, and Playboi Carti.
